美国太平洋路德大学简称“PLU”，创立于1890年，是一所以商学、教育及护理等科系而闻名的私立综合性大学。作为美国新大学联盟的成员之一，PLU致力于文理专业方面的研究以及相关专业领域的预备学习，被认为是美国西部地区华盛顿州的优质大学, 根据U.S News & World Report评选，PLU为唯一每年名列西部最好大学前15名的学校，并位列全美684个研究型大学第38名。

Pacific Lutheran University (PLU), founded by Norwegian Lutheran pioneers in 1890, is a private university offering liberal arts and professional school programs located in Parkland, a suburb of Tacoma, Washington, United States. PLU is sponsored by the 580 congregations of Region I of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. PLU has approximately 3,100 students enrolled. As of 2017, the school employs approximately 220 full-time professors on the 156-acre (630,000 m²) woodland campus.
PLU consists of the College of Arts and Sciences (including of the Divisions of Humanities, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences), the School of Arts and Communication, the School of Business, the School of Education and Kinesiology, and the School of Nursing.

Columbia University is a private Ivy League research university in Upper Manhattan, New York City. Established in 1754, Columbia is the oldest institution of higher education in New York and has been ranked by numerous major education publications as among the top ten universities in the world.
Columbia scientists and scholars have played an important role in the development of notable scientific fields and discoveries. The Columbia University Physics Department has been affiliated with 33 Nobel Prize winners as alumni, faculty or research staff, the third most of any American institution behind Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University. Washington University in St. Louis (also referred to as WashU, or WUSTL) is a private research university located in the St. Louis metropolitan area and elsewhere in Missouri. Founded in 1853, and named after George Washington, the university has students and faculty from all 50 U.S. states and more than 120 countries. As of 2017, 24 Nobel laureates in economics, physiology and medicine, chemistry, and physics have been affiliated with Washington University, nine having done the major part of their pioneering research at the university. Washington University's undergraduate program is ranked 18th by U.S. News & World Report in 2018 and 11th by The Wall Street Journal in their 2018 rankings. The university is ranked 20th in the world in 2017 by the Academic Ranking of World Universities. The acceptance rate for the class of 2022 (those entering in the fall of 2018) was 15%, with students selected from more than 31,000 applications.
